We are thrilled to welcome renowned Korean calligraphy artist Soyoung Kim to this year’s Chuseok Gala! Known for her powerful live performances blending traditional Hangul calligraphy with expressive movement and design. As the founder of Geulssidang and a leading figure in modern Korean calligraphy, her signature piece “The Art of Circle” brings elegance, emotion, and cultural depth to every stage. We can’t wait for guests to experience her artistry live.

SF–Seoul Cultural & Opportunity Partnership Engagement (SCOPE) Recipients

The San Francisco Korean Immersion Education Alliance, Inc. is an advocacy group focused on supporting Korean Immersion at Claire Lilienthal and throughout the city.

They are key partners with the school administration and work to continue bringing the Lilienthal community together around the common goal of celebrating Korean cultural heritage.

TakeRoot helps immigrant women reclaim their voices and put down roots. Isolation, culture shock, and forced career breaks can silence even the strongest women.

At TakeRoot, they create a healing space where Korean immigrant women can reconnect with their identities, grow in confidence, and raise the next generation with purpose—through expert-led webinars, community support, and practical tools for thriving in a new culture.
